On October 15, Rama Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital celebrated Student Day with a spirit of celebration and knowledge sharing. The entire Rama Ayurveda faculty, along with BAMS and nursing students, enthusiastically participated in the event, which took place at Lecture Hall 2, Second Floor.
World Students Day, celebrated annually on October 15th in India, pays tribute to the 11th President, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, and his profound contributions to education. The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the esteemed Principal and faculty members, including Dr. Soni Verma, Dr. Anil Singh, Dr. Uday Shankar T, Dr. Ranjna Vyas, Dr. Santosh Kumar, Dr. Karthikeya Singh, Dr. Abhishek Kumar Kesarwani, Dr. Sidhuja, Dr. Ragini Tiwari, Dr. Aditya Narayan Upadhyay, and Dr. Laxmi.
In addition to the traditional lamp lighting, the day featured an Essay Writing competition, Poster Presentation, and Painting Competition organized by the Ayurveda faculty. Both BAMS and nursing students showcased their talents, earning certificates of participation.
Anushka Sachan, a student, skillfully anchored the program. Faculty members took the opportunity to share insights about Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, a revered figure known for his roles as a teacher, scientist, and politician. Dr. Kalam served as the 11th Indian President from 2002 to 2007.
October 15, 2010, was officially designated as World Students Day by the United Nations, and students worldwide celebrate this day. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, born on October 15, 1931, in Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu, was not only a President but also an inspirational figure whose birthday continues to be commemorated, uniting students globally in the pursuit of knowledge and excellence.
