Medical Camp & Ayurveda Awareness Program

  1. Introduction

A medical camp and Ayurveda awareness program was successfully organized at Sarsaiya Ghat Sabhagaar, located within the premises of the District Magistrate Office, Kanpur, under the joint collaboration of Rama Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital, Mandhana and the D.O. of Ayurveda College.

This initiative aimed to educate the general public and government officials about the holistic and preventive healthcare approach of Ayurveda, with a special focus on sustainable living and integrative medicine.

  1. Objectives of the Program
  • To promote the Ayurvedic system of medicine for public health awareness
  • To offer Ayurvedic medical consultations and showcase herbal formulations
  • To educate on the theme “Ayurveda for People and Planet”, emphasizing environmental sustainability and personal wellness
  • To engage students in community outreach and practical Ayurvedic learning

  2. Lecture on “Cancer Care in Ayurveda”

A guest lecture was delivered by Dr. Balram Mishra, Assistant Professor, Department of Shalya Tantra, on the topic “Cancer Care in Ayurveda”. The session covered:

  • Ayurvedic understanding of cancer (Arbuda and Granthi)
  • Preventive strategies and therapeutic approaches in Ayurveda
  • Importance of Panchakarma, Rasayana, and classical herbs in oncology
  • Integrative care models combining Ayurveda with modern medicine

The lecture was well-received by attendees and contributed to increasing awareness of Ayurveda’s role in chronic disease management.

 

  1. Student Participation and Thematic Stall

Students from the BAMS batch of Rama Ayurvedic Medical College actively participated by organizing a thematic awareness stall based on the theme “Ayurveda for People and Planet.” The stall included:

  • Display of Ayurvedic herbs and classical medicines
  • Educational charts, diet guidelines, and lifestyle suggestions
  • Distribution of pamphlets on disease prevention through Ayurveda
  • Demonstrations and Q&A sessions with the public

The stall attracted significant interest and was appreciated for its educational and eco-conscious approach.

  • Directors/Deans and Doctors from various Medical and Ayurvedic Colleges

Their support and interaction with the students added great value and motivation to the event.

The medical camp and awareness event at the DM Office, Kanpur, proved to be a valuable platform for the promotion of Ayurveda in public healthcare. It successfully brought together students, faculty, administrative officials, and healthcare professionals under the shared vision of preventive health, sustainability, and traditional medical knowledge.

Such initiatives not only enhance the visibility of Ayurveda but also foster community trust and student engagement in real-world health scenarios.

Report on Medical Camps Organized by Rama Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital
Occasion: National Ayurveda Day 2025
Theme: Ayurveda for People and Planet

On the occasion of National Ayurveda Day 2025, Rama Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital, Mandhana, Kanpur, organized two free medical camps to spread awareness and promote the principles of Ayurveda in community healthcare. This year’s theme, “Ayurveda for People and Planet,” emphasized the importance of holistic health and environmental harmony.

The camps were conducted under the supervision of Dr. Dhananjay Singh, Medical Officer, Rama Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital, Mandhana, Kanpur. He, along with a dedicated team, provided Ayurvedic consultations, free health check-ups, and awareness sessions on lifestyle management based on Ayurvedic principles.

Camp Locations:

  1. Barra, Kanpur Nagar
  2. Chaudharipur, Chaubepur, Kanpur Nagar

These camps received an excellent response from the local population. Dozens of patients benefited from the expert advice and free medicines distributed during the events. The initiative highlighted Ayurveda’s role in preventive healthcare and its relevance in addressing both personal and planetary health challenges.
